MORALES

Kaye Morales / KM is a testament to the possibilities of fashion without boundaries, of style without borders. Infused with an aesthetic that defies definition, KM’s bravado lies not just in the collections and brands she has successfully launched but in the electrifying spirit that embodies her work.

With shows in Los Angeles, Vancouver, and Manila under her belt, Kaye propels conversations beyond the norm, breaking into streetwear and couture all in under a decade’s worth of work. Her streetwear brand KM illustrates the complexities of identity, highlighting the textures of internal and external conversations around gender norms. Her eponymous brand Kaye Morales Atelier on the other hand was a response to a clientele hungry for Kaye’s takes on formalwear, setting a high standard for once-in-a-lifetime events and milestone celebrations.

Born in Saudi Arabia, raised in the Philippines, and educated in Manila and London, Morales’s multicultural background reflects the depth and breadth of her work. With influences from local and international music and art scenes, she honed her craftsmanship to reflect coalescing cultures through fashion.

In 2014, her collection DEBAUCHERY debuted in Vancouver which explored Kaye's twisted and darkest fantasies, prompting a designer profile of Kaye’s on British Vogue. The following year, her collection CENTIPEDE was front and center of Los Angeles Fashion Week worn by the likes of Carly Rae Jepsen and more.

In 2016, KM was launched as a ready-to-wear brand placing the focus on androgyny and fluidity, a nod to Kaye’s commitment to identity. Preen.ph called her streetwear collection "another facet of edginess," a step away from society's norms. Known as a queer icon in the Philippines, her collection IDENTITY was launched in the same year with a razor-sharp focus on gender-neutral pieces.

Kaye continues to embody her personal tenor of transforming pain, darkness, and everything tragic into pieces that evoke beauty, transcendence, and ultimately, resilience. Imbued with a sensibility to the troubles of the world, her work is a reminder of the possibilities ahead of us: grandeur in the simplest of things, beauty in the most painful places, diamonds glittering in the rough.

FASHION SHOWS

The subsequent years only cemented Kaye’s vision and work as one of the country's youngest designers, as she launched multiple collections in 2017 all the way to the summer of 2020. In 2022 KM made a comeback, a phoenix rising out of the trail of the pandemic's global halt. Her collection NOCTURNE at the Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival effused a detailed boldness in each look, solidifying Kaye's clinching trademark.

CollaborationS

This desire to completely set herself apart from fashion's current aesthetic drives her brand's DNA: attention-seeking, distinctive and singular clearly seen in her collections directly inspired by art, streetwear, and the inimitable London underground style. Citing a multi-cultural background her eye for design is well rounded and her imagination honed to the hilt. This self-starter creates conversation pieces that have brought her noteworthy attention from the world's biggest fashion press and collaborations with various local and international celebrities.
